John Edward Holmes

John Edward Holmes, age 80, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 24, 1931 to the late Lester and Helen Holmes. He retired from Mergenthaler Linotype Company and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. John was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Holmes; and brother, Herbert James Holmes. He is survived by his children, Robert Holmes, Carol (James) Stueber, and Glen (Carla) Holmes; grandchildren, Jennifer, Laurie, Jared, Christy, Ryan, Danielle, David, Sarah, and Ashley ;brother, Charles (Janice) Holmes; and 10 great grandchildren. Friends may call on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 6:00PM-8:00PM with prayer service at 7:30PM at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 10:30AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 588 West Broad St., Columbus, Ohio. Fr. Kevin Lutz, celebrant.
