

John J. “Jack” Ford, 77, of Powell, Ohio, died at home on September 21, 2013. He was born and raised in Staten Island, NY and graduated from Augustinian Academy. He served in the US Army, where he was stationed in Germany as part of the Military Police. Jack was a salesman all of his life. His most recent position was with Garner-Gibson as a Manager of Industry Relations. He was a member of the National Guild of Professional Paper Hangers. And a devoted member with St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. He loved to travel and meet new people, especially at trade shows. His brother Jim said that Jack was blessed with a ‘gift of gab’. He enjoyed playing golf, and was an avid Buckeye fan. He was a season ticket holder to their football games. And when friends and family came to visit, he made sure they went home with an Ohio State sweatshirt, hat, or other OSU memorabilia. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Sue Ford; six nieces and nephews; and the Fellowship of the program. Family will receive friends Thursday (TODAY), from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. A Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2013 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, Ohio 43065.
