John Paul Stewart

John Paul Stewart, 70, of Columbus, Ohio passed away October 16, 2017. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia on November 12, 1946 to the late Charles and Alma Stewart. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1964. After college, he served in the US Air Force in Thailand during Vietnam. John was a dedicated, longtime employee of Germain Honda. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed OSU football. He was a loving father and a loyal friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by cousin, Cleo Wallis; mother-in-law, Helen DeRhodes and father-in-law, Harold DeRhodes. He is survived by daughters, Kacy (Travis) Ray and Molly (Dan) Ray; lifelong friend, Sherri DeRhodes; dear friends, Roy Query and Dan Bierle; as well as many very cherished friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4-6 pm at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43085, where a funeral service will follow at 6 pm. Interment will take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 12 pm at Spring Valley Memory Gardens, 2813 Goodwill Rd, Huntington, WV 25704.
