Jonathan Alan Tarbox

Jonathan Alan Tarbox, 69, Florida, passed away on October 6, 2015. A celebration of life will be held at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N High St, Saturday, October 17, from 2 to 4 with a brief service starting at 4pm. Jon was born in Cleveland Ohio on May 24, 1946. He grew up in Upper Arlington Ohio, graduating from Upper Arlington High School. He graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Accounting and continued on to graduate from Ohio State where he obtained his law degree. He practiced law in Columbus until 1991 when he moved to Coral Springs, Florida to pursue various business ventures. Jon was an avid golfer, yachtsman, and baseball player. He was the captain of his high school baseball team. He coached at least 20 baseball/softball teams over the years for his children. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Grace Tarbox.Jon is survived by his wife, Linda; children J Andrew and Katharine; stepchildren, Kimberly, Krista and Rodrick Greider; grandchildren Derek Greider; Bradley Tucker, Mackenzie Blankenship; Kaydence and Treyton Greider; his brother Frederick and his wife Tina; his sister Roberta Campbell and her husband Jerry; and many nieces and nephews.
