Josephine M. Miltko

Josephine M. "Jo" Miltko, 78, of Columbus, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017. She was born on March 19, 1939 in Steubenville to the late Hugo and Mildred (Katich) Pompa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene F. Miltko and daughter Suzanne Miltko. Jo retired originally from Ohio Bell/ATandT and more recently from Mount Carmel St. Ann's in Communications. She loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as traveling. Jo is survived by her children, Mark (Karen) Miltko and Gina (Doug) Vance; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Miltko, Kate Miltko, and Jacob and Lane Vance; great-granddaughter, Eleanor Miltko; and brothers, Hugo Jr. (Jackie) and Richard (Nanette) Pompa. Jo was a member of St. Anthony Church, 1300 Urban Drive, Columbus, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Tom Petry officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Tuesday, May 23 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the OhioHealth Foundation, in care of the Suzanne Miltko Memorial Nursing Education Fund, 3535 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, 43214.
