Joshua Halvey, 24, of New Albany, OH, passed away suddenly on January 15, 2018 at his home. He was born in Westerville, OH, on August 26, 1993, son of Kimberley Worthington and Pete Halvey. He is survived by his parents; his siblings, Brandee and Joel Williams, and Cody Worthington; his niece, Elisyana Hamilton; his grandparents, Ron and Pat Girod. He is also survived by his Uncle Chad (Krista) Girod; aunts, Karen (Drew) Seymour, Shannon (Mark) Schroeder; and numerous cousins, including his special cousin, Erica Packard. Josh graduated from Lakewood High school in 2012, attended COTC and Kent State University. He was a successful Day Trader. Josh is an avid sports fan; Basketball was his favorite and it was all Lakers. Playing basketball was even better. He enjoyed football, golf, Nascar, and watching ESPN non-stop. He loved riding around in his car with the radio up, riding motorcycles when he could and his new apartment. Josh was inspirational, courageous, caring, and devoted to his family and friends. You knew what a good friend was if you knew Josh. There are so many lives that he touched and that touched him. Josh had Cystic Fibrosis and had the first 2-time double lung done at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Josh never gave up fighting, his motto was #Come Back Stronger and #Never give up. He lived that every day. There are so many friends and special people in his life, but the most special person in his life was his Mom. They had a bond unlike most - loved unconditionally, she fought for him throughout all the medical procedures. She always believed he could make it through anything and he did for 24 years. Others to mention are Gabby Black and Dylan Justus, both had to laugh at his jokes, and he, of course, laughed at them. They were there for him. The Killians, Bradley's, Pajestka families and we could go on and on. We thought and Josh thought he had more time. Josh would tell you to live your life, make it count and Never, Never give up. Arrangements were entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where a visitation will take place on Sunday, January 21st from 12:30 to 1:30pm with a service at 1:30pm officiated by John Girard.
