Lit a candle in memory of Joyce Ann Rinehart

My Mother and I have gotten to know the Rinehart family in many different ways.  My mother drove both Jay and Julie on the school bus, Mom and Joyce were both parent boosters for the choir program at Grove City, I was a member of TOC with Julie and as an adult I have had the pleasure of seeing and working with Joyce at the Family center.  She was truly a special lady who will be greatly missed by all who had the chance to cross paths with her.  May the Lord Bless and Keep Joyce and her family always.

I met Joyce my senior year at Upper Arlington.  I was the new girl.  Joyce was her usual kind, helpful friendly self.
Many years later I worked with Joyce at North Franklin when she was the staff development teacher.  Joyce always had an open door and encouraging attitude.
Joyce was one of the most fair individuals I've ever met.

Joyce was one of the most influential people in my career and in my life.  She taught me much more than how to be a better teacher.  When making decisions about how to coach teacher and teach my students I still find myself pondering the question, "What would Joyce do?"  Not only was she a wonderful teacher to me but she was a special friend and a true inspiration.  I will never ever forget her strength.  She was an amazing person. Joyce and I worked together many times when our children were in the high school marching band.  Whether we were elbow deep in hot dogs, painting street numbers on the curb or chasing behind a truck full of kids playing musical instruments, Joyce did these things with a smile!  I remember her enjoying things that brought her together with children, and that smile!  When Joyce would enter a room, it was like God let the sun come in!  I will miss her, but I rejoice in Heaven's gain!  Bob, Julie, and Jay, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families, and I know how much you are going to miss her, too.  She was a wonderful person, and she was loved by so many.  God Bless.

I got to know  Mrs. Rinehart  many years ago when I was Julie's kindergarten teacher. I remember her as being a very kind and supportive parent as well as a dedicated educator.  My sympathy and prayers are with you during this sorrowful  time.

I am so sorry to read about Mrs. Rinehart. During times like these God's Words can be of comfort. "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3,4

Joyce used to work in the same building where I have my office at Stiles Family Resource Center.  I remember that  she always had a smile in her face....and she was so sweet  and  nice with me. I have her in my prayers and  thinking of her family in this difficult time.

Joyce was a good friend and co-worker at Harmon Elementary. I enjoyed the times we had teaching together and admired her ability to share her skills with her peers. She will certainly be missed.

Joyce was a friend, neighbor, but most important she was an inspiration to me, especially in these last few years. We have been neighbors for over 27 years, but grew to love and bond during these last few years as we initiated a Book Club. Both of us loved to read and a book club was an exciting venture. Joyce recruited many of her friends and neighbors and we started meeting and sharing what we loved - reading. It was during the carpooling to bookclub once a month when I learned so much about Joyce and her family and she about mine. We prayed together and cared deeply together during these few, but precious moments. Joyce was one of the most giving persons I know. There was not a kid or grandchild in the neighborhood who did not get a BIG present from Joyce on Halloween or at any time. I am so glad that God gave me the opportunity to really know Joyce and to be part of her life. I will miss our special time together, and will especially remember her everytime I read a book or go to book club. I know she is now at peace and free from pain. Our love and prayers for comfort and strength to Bob, Jay, Julie, Dennis and grandson Dennis Patrick, and her family.
