Joyce K. Winters

Joyce K. Winters, age 86, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Forum at Knightsbridge. Joyce was born on January 23, 1925 in Taberg, New York; she was the daughter of the late Elmer Turner and Marion Elizabeth Kilbourne. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert G. Winters; and sister, Helen Pechin. Joyce is a graduate of Camden High School in New York. She worked as a seamstress for Madison’s for 15 years. Joyce was a Heritage member of First Community Church, where Robert and she were active in the couples circle. Joyce enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafts, and she will be remembered for her many family gatherings. She is survived by her loving children, Peter (Beverly Harrison) Winters, Pam (Tom) Falk, Penny (Don) Delp and Polli (Mark) Quaglia; grandchildren, Julie (Jon) deVries, Amy (Jay) Jamison, Heidi (Drew) Foster, Matt (Shannon) Johnson, Keith (Anneliese) Johnson and Shelby Delp; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Audrey Sherman, Sandra Dunfield and Hal Kilbourne; along with many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Funeral services for Joyce will be on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 10am at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio 43212; Reverend James Long officiating. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
