

Judith graduated from Denison University and the Ohio State University.
She was a teacher for Columbus City Schools, Overbrook Preschool, and Worthington City Schools. She was also accepted by the Institute of International Education for the Fulbright Classroom Teacher Exchange Program in the United Kingdom.
Judith was a member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder, Deacon, and Stephen Minister.
She lived most of her life in Worthington, and loved the local farmers market, library, and downtown shops. She enjoyed family celebrations and holidays, and cherished time spent with the family. She liked spending time outdoors, walking her dogs, and feeding the wild birds.
She is preceded in death by parents Jack and Ann Treharne, sister-in-law Bridget Treharne,
husband, John Sandford, M.D., and her former husband, Glenn Garratt.
Judith is survived by her sons and their families: Adam (Ania) Garratt and John (Jill) Garratt.
She treasured her grandchildren: June, Juliet, Zosia, and Antek Garratt. She is also survived by her sister, Trish Treharne, M.D. (Michael Sims) and her brother Jack Treharne, M.D. (Diane Treharne).
A memorial service for Judith will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday, February 9 at OVERBROOK PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 4131 North High Street Columbus, OH 43214. Immediately following the service there will be an open reception from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, OH. Although Judith loved flowers, she requests that any contributions in her memory be made to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank or Overbrook Presbyterian Church. Give flowers to the living.
