

Judy Hatfield, age 66 of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a brief illness. Judy was born in Savannah, Tennessee and raised in Waverly, Ohio, daughter of the late Roy and Lorene Palmer. Also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Eugene” Hatfield, sister Leona Slack, and twin sister, Betty Cox. Judy was a woman who had a very outgoing and vibrant personality. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to spending time with her grandchildren, Judy also enjoyed the time she spent dog sitting for her “granddog,” Kia. Judy will be missed by her loving children, Dan R. (Kelly) Hatfield and Regina L. Hatfield; grandchildren, Michael Ray and Harley Rae; “adopted” son, Harvey; siblings, Nelda Crace, Linda (Mack) Wright, David (Ann-Marie) Palmer, Ronnie Palmer, Brenda (Robert) O’Brien, and Debby (Jeff) Rust; brother-in-law, Ebb Slack; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Monday at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. A private memorial service will be held.
