

Justin Michael Thompson, 29, of Columbus, Ohio passed unexpectedly on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Born on March 4, 1988, Justin was a Former Cavalry Scout, 82nd Airborne, in the United States Army, and a former North Carolina Wildlife Resource Officer. Most recently Justin was employed at Sam's Club, Performance Bike, and was a Licensed Ohio insurance agent. On March 17, 2011 Justin received The Draper Leadership award for showing exemplary leadership skills during his cycle of training while in the army. He was an avid Fisher and Hunter. He enjoyed hiking, cooking,video games, and listening to music. Justin was an amazing son, brother, uncle, Father, and friend. He will be remembered by his relentless dedication in pursuing his dreams and his ability to bond with children and people to form lasting relationships and friendships. He also will be remembered by his incredible work ethic and passion for life. Justin's favorite phrase was the fisherman's code "Early To Bed, Early To Rise, Fish Like Hell and Make Up Lies" Justin's family and friends will miss his infectious smile and laughter. He is survived by his Son, Hunter Thompson; parents, Michael Thompson; Lori Skipper Thompson; Stepmother, Ernestina Thompson, Brother and sister in-law, Grayson and Bethany Thompson, Step-brother, Alnino Esma; and Niece, Skylar Thompson, Grandparents, Raymond and Erlene Crotts and Arnold and Carole Peninger, Aunts and uncles, Lori Thompson Weaver, Bradley Peninger, Malcolm Skipper, Rory Duke Skipper, Beverly Worley and Paula Shrum; Pet, Spencer.
There was a Private Family Gathering on November 8th, 2017 at 4pm at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel. There will be a celebration of Life at Discover Christian church, Dublin OH on Friday November 10th, 2017 at 6pm. Please wear Red and/or Green to represent Drug addiction and Mental Health Awareness. There will also be a Memorial Celebration of Life at the 2nd Reformed United Church of Christ, Lexington, NC on Sunday November 12th 2017. The family will receive visitors at 1:30pm and the memorial service to follow
