Kahoma Jeanne Pierson

Kahoma Jeanne Pierson, 79, of Columbus, died December 16, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. She was born January 9, 1931 in Jackson, TN to the late Fred and Mattie Webb. She was Assistant Director of Nursing at Yorkshire Health Care Center and a member of Eastside Grace Brethren Church. In college she was a center on the basketball team. She loved cooking, crocheting and being with her family. Her view on life was “I’m six and a half, and growing old is inevitable, but growing up is optional.” She was a very giving person that always gave her best away. Her sparkling eyes and sense of humor will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, sisters and brother. She is preceded in death by her husband William, son David and four brothers. She is survived by children Michael (Denise), Cheryl (Tony) Myers, and Paul (Elizabeth), seven grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and her dog Bubah. Family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. and from 9-10 Saturday where a funeral service will be held at 10 AM.
