Katherine Elizabeth Reeser

Katherine Elizabeth Reeser, 94, of Circleville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 5, 2011. She was born October 3, 1917 in Pickaway County, the daughter of the late Conrad and Susie (Owens) Lape. She was a member of Circleville First Church where she was active for many years. Katherine was preceded in death in 1989 by her husband of 54 years, Robert Reeser; her son, Max Gale Reeser in 2001; grandson, Ronnie Hensley in 2009; son-in-law, David Myers, brothers, Ralph and Orville Coleman; and sisters, Ada Thomas, Mildred Bowsher and Edith Russell. She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Hensley, Sheila Myers and Linda (Russell) Pyle, all of Circleville; sons, Richard (Joyce) Reeser of Circleville, Robert (Clara Jo) Reeser of Adelphi, Harold “Sam” (Pat) Reeser of Circleville and Howard (Rosalie) Reeser of Mt. Sterling; 17 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Diane Reeser of Circleville; sisters-in-law, Doris and Wilma Reeser of Circleville and Mary Gibson of Columbus. Katherine’s family was her life. Her children describe her as having a great sense of humor and was always a lot of fun to be with. She traveled extensively with her family to places both near and far. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Circleville First Church, 436 E. Ohio St., Circleville, OH 43113.
