Katherine Elaine Taylor, age 64, of Newark, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Kindred Healthcare of Newark. Mrs. Taylor was born June 30, 1949 in Athens County, Ohio to the late Shirley D. and Mary (Williams) LeMay.
Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, sewing, puzzles and crocheting.
She is survived by a son, Shaun Michael Taylor of Newark; two grandchildren, Nevaeh Starr Lash-Taylor and Nathan Michael Lee Lash-Taylor, and their mother, Cassandra Lash, all of Newark; sisters, Barbara Wilcox and Sheila Morgan, both of Newark; and a brother, Gary Lewis LeMay.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Taylor, in 1988; and by two sons, Terry J. Dusenberry, Jr. and Slate Rock Taylor.
There will be no calling hours or service observed. Inurnment will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.
