Kathryn Belle Martin

Kathryn B. Martin, age 84, died Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was born October 14, 1926 in Circleville, and graduated from West High School in Columbus. Kathryn married the love of her life, Richard Edwin Martin. She spent her life caring for her children and grandchildren, whom she loved very much. She always had fudgesicles in the fridge and had the Price Is Right or an OSU football game playing on the TV. Holidays and birthdays were especially important to Kathryn and her family and she always had them over for Sunday dinner after church. Preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Cora Diltz; husband of 43 years, Richard Edwin Martin; daughters, Janet and Nora Welch; brother, Dudley, and sister, Margaret E. George. Kathryn will be missed by her daughters, Linda Baker and Barbara (Jay) Reese; grandchildren, David Wayne Welch, Jr., Alicia, Lorelle, Ryan, Matthew, and Adam; 11 great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Rebecca Hicks. Kathryn loved to sew quilts and dolls, loved gardening, and playing cards. Her family will dearly miss the cherished times they spent with her. Friends may call from Noon until the time of funeral services at 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (Just South of I-270).
