Kathryn Boone Munger

Kathryn Boone Munger, age 92, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012. She was born to the late Chevis Raymond and Helen McCardle Boone in McLaurin, MS on February 28, 1920. She met her husband of 53 years, Robert Jackson Munger, during WWII while he served in the Army. She received her Bachelors in Education from Miami University and taught elementary school for 23 years. She retired from French Run Elementary in Reynoldsburg. Kathryn enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and cross word puzzles. In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Munger; brothers, Chevis Boone and Harry Boone. She is survived by her loving children, Robert J. (Carolyn Caldwell) Munger Jr., and Susan Munger (David) Rippel; grandchildren, Daniel, Nathan, and Christopher Rippel; great-grandchildren, Liam, Noah, Lilly, Alex, Preston, Amelia, and Luke; siblings, Fran (Mrs. James H. Jones) and Charles (Stella) Boone. Friends may call from 10am-12pm on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL1740 Zollinger RD., where the funeral service will be held at 12pm.
