Kathy L. Bryan

Kathy L. Bryan, 52, of Gahanna, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was born November 19, 1959 in New Martinsville, W.V. to Patricia and the late George Herndon. Kathy was a 1978 graduate of River High School in Monroe County and retired from The Ohio Dept. of Public Safety after 32 years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna. Kathy’s family and friends meant the world to her. She enjoyed spending time with them and watching the kids play sports. She was strong-willed and never met a stranger. Her greatest joy was watching her boys grow into young men and spending quality time with family and friends. Preceded in death by her father, George Herndon and father-in-law, Larry Bryan. Kathy will be missed by her loving husband of 20 years, Mark; sons, Zac and Collin; dear mother, Patricia Herndon; brother, Kenneth L. (Tawnya) Herndon; sister, Karen L. (Mike) Hickenbottom; mother-in-law, Margaret Bryan; brother-in-law, Gregg (Chris) Bryan; sister-in-law, Lori (Dan) Deninger; and niece and nephews, Haleigh and Ross Hickenbottom, Anthony Angelas, and Jacob and Justin Deninger; and many other special friends and family who held a very dear place in her heart. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230, Rev. Kai Nilsen, officiating. Family will receive friends from 9 – 11 am until the time of the service in the Connection Center.
