Katie Springer-Keffer, age 26, died January 23, 2014 at Grant Hospital. She was born March 2, 1987 in Columbus to Robert Keffer and Juanita Springer-Sexton (Mike Sexton). Katie attended Briggs High School and was a member of St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church. She was a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tai Kwan Do and an avid swimmer on her swim team and later became a life guard. Katie was a free spirit who was very much loved and will be missed. She is preceded in death by brother Gary Ratcliff, grandparents Edward and Lucy Keffer, grandparents Minnie Ervin and James Yates, cousins Casey Newton and Kristina Ervin. In addition to her parents she is survived by daughter Krisha Ferrell, siblings Robin (Bud) Simmons, Shawn Keffer, Robert Springer, Fred (Angie) Ratcliff Jr., Kellis Morris and Mary Springer, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends Monday, January 27, 2014 from 5-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 10 AM.
