Keith T. Gayer

Keith T. Gayer, 85, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was born November 2, 1936 to Bernard and Marguerite (Trout) Gayer and graduated with the Class of 1954 from University School. His loyalty to the OSU Buckeyes was instilled at an early age and lasted a lifetime. Keith attended OSU and Otterbein University and served in the Ohio Army National Guard for 8 years, attaining the rank of SSgt. He worked at Medick Ford and Evans and Buck Electric prior to 29 years at Western Electric/ATandT. Keith was anticipating his 60th wedding anniversary to his college sweetheart, Nancy (Schaefer) Gayer; also survived by their children, Gregory (Sarah) Gayer, Geoffrey (KiKi) Gayer and Susan (Craig) Robinson; grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Elizabeth, Samuel, Megan, Abigail, Sydney and Addison; sister-in-law Marilyn (Bill) Walk; brother-in-law David Cahoon; cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Ruth "Julie" Cahoon and brother Paul (Sylvia) Gayer. Family will receive friends from 10-11am on Friday, November 26, at Stonybrook United Methodist Church, 485 Cherry Bottom Rd., Gahanna, where a service will begin at 11am; interment to follow at Mifflin Cemetery.
