Keith "Cowboy" Willey, 69, of Columbus cashed in his chips Sunday, February 7, 2021 with his wife Nancy and sister Lisa by his side. He was born on April 11, 1951 in Newark, Ohio to the late Millard and Avonelle Willey. Learning from his dad's love of sports, Keith excelled at Little League baseball and played varsity sports in high school. While he appreciated most sports, his true passion was golf; he felt a deep loss when physically no longer able to play. He had an appetite and aptitude for games and gambling. He was a pinball wizard, enjoyed playing cards, especially with family, and his weekly double-deck pinochle group. Vacations were spent in Las Vegas, focusing play on video poker and Let it Ride. Keith was unpretentious; his greatest attributes were integrity, humor, and determination to overcome life's obstacles. Keith is survived by his partner and wife of 37 years, Nancy Willey; brothers, David (Nancy) and Mark Willey; "favorite" sister, Dr. Lisa Willey; sisters-in-law, Becky LaRue and Barbara Parker; brother-in-law, Timmy Schiller; several nieces and nephews; and cherished friends. To remember Keith, have a drink, eat pizza, and finalize a disagreement with 'I'll bet you $10,000". Private arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger East.
