

Ken Kowaleski, age 65 of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Ken was born and raised in Garfield Heights, Ohio, son of the late Richard and Emily Kowaleski. Ken graduated high school in Cleveland and attended The Ohio State University. He worked in security at Huntington National Bank and then retired from The Ohio Historical Society with over 20 years of dedicated service there. Ken was a quiet, loyal and caring man. He loved spending time outdoors camping, hunting, fishing, and gardening. In addition, Ken enjoyed woodworking and could usually be found working on a project in his home. Most of all Ken was an animal lover, particularly of dogs. He loved spending time with his faithful companions and shared a unique bond with them. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Diane Dolan; daughter, Jessica (Derek) Shields; sister, Suzi (Tom) Adamik; sister-in-law, Sharon Dolan; nephews, Brett Adamik and Neil Waggoner; nieces, Keri Canzoni and Ariel Braff; lifelong friends, Al Losch and Gary Novotnik; loving companions, Tucker and Kobi; and Marburn neighbors and dog walking friends. Memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice or to the National Wildlife Foundation.
