

Kenneth L. Pierce, age 50, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011. He was born February 29, 1960 in Greenfield, Ohio to Leo and Dorothy (Montgomery) Pierce and graduated from McClain High School. Following in his brothers’ footsteps, he came to the central Ohio area seeking greater opportunities for his life. After attending trade school, Kenny landed a job at Smith Medical, where he has been employed for 30 years. Kenny, also known as Stub, had a great love for music. He was quite possibly one of the best rodies ever, having helped with sound, light and set-up for his brother’s bands. Kenny loved history, old movies, hunting, fishing, cooking… but above all, family came first. He was a romantic at heart, and leaves behind his beloved wife of 16 years, Linda “Susie” Pierce; daughter, Holly Lynn Kimball; parents, Leo and Dorothy Pierce; brothers, Michael (Lorie), Mark (Leslie), Tom (Vicki) and David (Tiffany); sister, Rita (Robert) Sowers; mother-in-law, Betty Young; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Margaret Pierce and Harlen and Mazie Montgomery. Kenny attended Highland Baptist Church and St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Family will receive friends 4-8pm Monday, January 24, 2011 at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service 1pm Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Highland Baptist Church, 3460 Hoover Rd., Grove City, OH 43123 with Dr. Kent Spann, Rev. Emerson Montgomery and Fr. Kevin Lutz, officiating; Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Kenneth L. Pierce. Kenny was a jokester with a huge heart, and truly lived each and every day to the fullest. His stories will live on!
