Kevin B Olson

Kevin Olson D.O., Ph. D., 61, of Upper Arlington, Ohio passed away suddenly on January 13, 2018 in Upper Arlington. Kevin was born in Ashland, Ohio to Samuel and Dorothy Olson on May 23, 1956. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1974 then obtained an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University. Kevin proceeded to obtain his Masters Degree and his Ph.D from The Ohio State University. Kevin then obtained his medical degree as a doctor of osteopathy from Ohio University. He married Peggy Olson on June 18th, 1982 in Columbus, Ohio. He owned and practiced at Columbus Health Professionals for 28 years. He enjoyed his patients and the numerous medical residents he mentored during his career. Kevin served as President of both the American Osteopathic Association and the Upper Arlington Lacrosse Association. He was also designated master faculty as a clinical professor in family medicine from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He enjoyed supporting his children through both coaching and spectating their various athletic endeavors. He loved to cook, exercise (he even ran three marathons), local arts, and the theater. Kevin is proceeded in death by his parents Samuel and Dorothy Olson and his father in law Marcel Moser. Kevin is survived by his loving wife Peggy, children, K.C. Meleski (Sarah), Kyle Olson (Sarah), Katie Fried (Marty), Keith Olson (Meaghan), grandchildren, Clara, Maggie, Josh, James, Valarie, Carmella, Luke, Penelope, Kellan, Knox, and Karter. He is also survived by siblings Gary Olson (Patty), Rex Olson (Suzanne), Lori Farlow (Mike), Dave Moser (Cindy), Rick Moser (Kathy), mother-in-law Connie Moser, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00PM On Friday January 19th at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road in Upper Arlington. Memorial service will be held Saturday January 20th at 4:30PM at Boulevard Presbyterian Church 1235 Northwest Blvd in Grandview.
