Kirsten “Kris” Dale Edwards

Graduate of Dublin High School (1973), Denison University, Wake Forest University Law School and most recently The Ohio State University with a MFA in Creative Writing.

She resided in New York City, Utah, New Mexico and then returned to Columbus, Ohio. Kris worked as an attorney, small business owner, environmentalist, teacher and writer. An avid reader, athlete, equestrian, hater of anything plastic, lover of dogs (especially rescues) and a true champion of all animals. She was a loyal friend and her friends were numerous. A loving daughter, fun sister and fabulous aunt, she will be missed by many.

Preceded in death by her father, J.T. Edwards Jr. She is survived by her mother, Mary Jo Chase Edwards; sisters, Kathleen (Mike) Rose, Karen (Ron) Mescher; brother, Jack (Cecelia) Edwards; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Deucey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 25 at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43205. In lieu of flowers (which Kris believed should grow and be enjoyed in the wild), donations can be made in Kris’s memory to any Humane Society, the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance: SUWA.org, or the charity of your choice.
