Laura Adel Gray

Laura Adel Gray, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Friendship Village of Columbus. She was born July 25, 1919 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Chester & Ada (Richwine) Callahan. She was a 1937 graduate of North H.S. and 1941 graduate of The Ohio State University. Laura was an elder and deacon of the Overbrook Presbyterian Church, member of Clintonville Women’s Club, Past Matron of University Chapter O.E.S., and enjoyed volunteering for Overbrook Presbyterian Church, Riverside Hospital, Girl Scouts, and A.R.C. Industries. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, David Hilliard and brother, William S. Callahan. Laura is survived by her loving husband, of 37 years, Bob; children, James (Judy) Hilliard; Thomas (Alice) Hilliard, Richard (Sunshine) Hilliard, Robert (Paula) Gray, Steven (Cheryl) Gray; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, 9 nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Callahan. A private graveside service will take place at Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Overbrook Presbyterian Church or charity of your choice.
