Laura Lynn Meeks

Laura Lynn Meeks, age 51, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Kobacker House. She was born on April 28, 1967 in Mansfield, Ohio to Robert Schrader and Janet (Coursen) DeVault. Laura was a 1986 graduate of Clear Fork High School (Bellville, OH). She was employed by Columbus Medical Association and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Pickerington. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way that she served others by feeding the homeless, helping troubled youth, and volunteering at church. Laura enjoyed Buti Yoga, painting, reading, music, watching the Lakers playoff games, and spending time with her friends, and family especially her grandchildren. Laura’s servant heart continued on even after she passed away as she gave the gift of sight through cornea donation.

She is survived by her loving husband, Victor Meeks; beloved daughters, Keisha (Patrick) Robinson and Kayla Hudgens; grandchildren whom she cherished, Ryan Robinson and Kelsey Robinson; mother, Janet (William) Coursen DeVault; father, Robert (Linda) Schrader; sisters, Darlene (James) Lohmeier and Crystal (Jason) Brady; special best friend, Missy “Myrtle” (Lance) Pruden; many nieces and nephews.

Laura was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Velma L. Coursen and Franklin M. Coursen; paternal grandparents, Deloris (Ransom) Schrader and Ray W. Schrader; infant grandson, Keith Nazarene Robinson and Keisha’s father, LeRoy Nazarene Muffett.

Family will receive friends 11 am until 1 pm the time of service on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Grace Fellowship Church, 575 Diley Rd. Pickerington, Ohio 43147. Interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger East Chapel.
