

Lawrence “Ev” Buck, 81, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011. He was born December 4, 1929 in Columbus and grew up in Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was awarded a bronze star. Ev worked as a welder at Price Brothers and retired after 35 years. He was a Teamsters member for 35 years. Tinkering in his garage, sitting on his front porch visiting with neighbors and feeding the birds were his favorite past times. He was always there when someone needed him and will be remembered for always being friendly and in a good mood. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Cora; parents, Belford and Josephine Buck; and 10 brothers and sisters. Ev will be missed by his loving daughter, Carla (James) Carr; son, Larry Buck; grandchildren, James, Jr., Dustin, Taylor, Dallas, and Cody Carr; and many nieces and nephews, including Sandy (Chris) Adams, Florida. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment in Green Lawn Cemetery.
