
Leslie Lee Love, 65, of New Albany, Ohio, died unexpectedly while fishing at Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio on February 7, 2009. He was a computer systems analyst for IBM for 30 years, where he won many awards for his work. Leslie was most recently employed with the State of Ohio BWC in downtown Columbus, OH. He was a faithful and founding family member of the Church of the Resurrection for 25 years. Leslie served his country proudly as an electronic technician on the USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, golfer, mechanical genius, and loved camping, traveling, snowmobiling, and cheering on his Buckeyes as well. Leslie is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Love; mother, Edna McCarthy; stepmother, Evelyn McCarthy; foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Olson; brother, Leroy Love; grand-dogs, Sammy, Lady, and Ethan; and his faithful companions, Snoopy and Andy. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy Love of New Albany, OH; daughters, Tina of New Albany, OH and Linda (Vernon) Rarey of Logan, OH; sister, Betty (Ben) Burky of Galion, OH; sister-in-law, Linda (Steve) Bishop of Bucyrus, OH; grand-dogs, Abbey, Charlie, Baby, and Pup; and many stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces, nephews, and friends. Leslie was a loving husband and a wonderful father. Family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 East Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH43230 where a prayer service will be held at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 East Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054 with Father Jerry Rodenfels officiating. Interment to follow at MaplewoodCemetery in New Albany, OH.
