Leticia J. Briones

Leticia Juntereal Briones, MD., passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2013 at St. Ann’s Hospital. She was born March 19, 1941 in Infanta, Quezon Philippines to the late Faustino, Sr., and Sinforosa Juntereal. A Doctor of Medicine, she earned her Medical Degree from Manila Central University. Dr. Briones was in Family Practice at St. Rita Hospital School of Nursing and Midwifery in Manila, Philippines. She was also a Clinical Assistant at Mt. Carmel East Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Her church memberships include St. Leo Catholic Church and St. Mary Catholic Church. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she devoted her years after medicine to caring for her grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by her family: her loving husband of 44 years Rodolfo Briones, MD; daughter Jennifer (John Philamer Abad, MD) Briones Abad, MD; son Emmanuel (Kay) Briones; grandchildren Dominic, Ayla, Stella, Jonah and Lillian; siblings Retired RTC Judge Esther Juntereal, Josefina Juntereal, Consuelo Juntereal and Rowena Juntereal. She is preceded in death by her siblings RTC Judge Faustino Juntereal, Jr., Rogelio Juntereal, Oscar Juntereal and Esteban Juntereal. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, 43085, where a prayer service will be held from 6:00 to 6:30 pm that evening. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, Ohio 43082 with Father Michael Hinterschied, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
