

Liam Alexander Varughese, age 3, died peacefully at home in Sunbury with Mom and Dad by his side on Saturday, October 8, 2016. He was born August 1, 2013 into the family of his parents, Timothy and Julie Varughese and siblings, Quincy and Addison. Liam is also survived by his grandparents, Alexander and Marcia Varughese and James "Bill" and Debbie Hess; great-grandmother, Naomi "Susie" Grimm; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Liam was a joyful child with a contagious smile despite his 1 ½ year battle with neuroblastoma. His favorite pastimes were days spent with Bubby and Addie, play dates with Brutus, and cheering on the OSU Buckeyes. He loved being an honorary firefighter and enjoyed opportunities to dress in his gear, climb onto the fire trucks and shoot the hose. His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 at the Westerville Church of the Nazarene, 355 Cherrington Road, Westerville, OH 43081. There will be a Celebration Service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12th at the same location with Pastors Mike Durst, Mark Ledford and Worship Pastor Carlos De La Cruz officiating. Private family interment at Sunbury Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Liam's honor may be made to NC4K - Nellie's Champions for Kids, an organization committed to caring for pediatric cancer families, 6096 E. Main St., Suite 109, Columbus, OH 43213. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Northeast Chapel.
