

Linda L. (Turner) Hawkins, age 64, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010 at home. While being a wonderful nurturer and caregiver to her family and a “mom” to many, she was also employed for 22 years at Pitney Bowes where she moved from a hand sorter to Shift Director. It was while working there that she met and married her husband of 17 years, Bob. Together they found great enjoyment travelling and camping and celebrating Christmas with the grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Beatrice (Myers) Turner; son, Tod Miller; granddaughter, Emilee Mae Walters; mother-in-law, Barbara Ann Shoemaker; and grandfather-in-law, Henry Mech; Linda is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Hawkins; children, Rob Miller, Kimberly (Don) Walters, and Raymond Gregory Miller; grandchildren, Tod and Kenny Miller, Adrian Flatico, and Jada Rae; sister, Nancy Ann Riegle; brother-in-law, Arthur Hawkins; beloved pets, Ally and Bo Kitty; many other family and dear friends. A celebration of her life will be held with a visitation 5-8 p.m. Friday, September 24 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad St. Private family inurnment will take place at a later time. Contributions may be made in Linda’s memory and in honor of her son, Tod to the Leukemia Society.
