

Lloyd Wayne Bowen, age 46, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012. He was born in Warner Robins, Georgia, on December 3, 1965. He grew up in Mississippi where he graduated from Okolona High School, and then from Itawamba Junior College where he studied robotics. Lloyd held a career with the federal government, working for many years for the Defense Electronic Supply Center, and then retiring from the Defense Supply Center Columbus. He enjoyed being around people, making friends everywhere he went, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Lloyd truly loved life, and he will be remembered for his goofy personality and his happy disposition. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Long; and his step-father, Charles Long. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Sharon Bowen; children, Danielle Stacy and Nicholas Bowen; step-children, Amy and Andrew Greismer; father, Curtis Wayne Bowen, and step-mother, Nina Bowen; step-siblings, Donna, Sheila Mike, David, and Sandra; grandchildren, Tyler Swint, Brynley Swint, and Ava Greismer; beloved aunt, Josephine (Henry) Bullard of Woodland, Mississippi; father- and mother-in-law, Ray and Melva Abrams; brothers-in-law, Andrew (Karen) and Jim (Melanie) Cotyk; many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Mississippi and Indiana; and many friends, especially dear friend Sam Larned. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E.
