Lois V. (Terry) Barnes, age 87, wife of the late Lloyd W. Barnes, M.D. Survived by sons, James L. (JoAnne), Brian W. (Barbara), Randall T. (Linda) and Russell A. Three grandsons, Jeffrey, Timothy, Evan. Three granddaughters, Anna, Erica and Heather Cook. Attended Lake Erie College for Women, was graduated from The Ohio State University where she became a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority, Zeta Phi Eta, national speech honorary. Listed in Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who of the Midwest. Member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Altar Guild, Columbus Country Club, founder member of the Capital Club, past-President of the Women’s Board of The Columbus Museum of Art. A founder of and President of two supporting units of The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and a devotee of Opera of Columbus. Memorial Service will be held 11:30 am Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 125 East Broad Street, with The Rev. Mr. Richard Burnette officiating.. Private inurnment Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, 180 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215 or to Columbus Museum of Art, 480 E.
