Loretta was born on September 14, 1933 to the late Volney and Ethel (Cantrell) Fyffe, in Paintsville, KY. She graduated from Flat Gap High School class of ’51. A few years later she met the love of her life Mr. Ernie Miller and they were married on January 14, 1956. They celebrated 42 years together before his passing on March 7, 1997. Loretta was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was going to the Caribbean with her granddaughter Callie or to a sporting event to watch her grandson James perform. Eating out and shopping were a couple of her favorite pass times, but what put a smile on her face were the moments she shared with her husband Ernie. Loretta spent much of her time as a volunteer at Mount Carmel West Hospital. She was able to bring comfort to those in need with her thoughtfulness and smile. A kind and gentle lady, with a heart for giving, she will be missed by all who were touched by her.
Along with her husband Ernie and parents, Loretta is preceded in death by Sister Lorena Fyffe; and Brother, Willy Fyffe.
Loretta’s survivors include her children Brenda (Jim) Bender of Westerville, David (Jenifer) Miller of Grove City; grandchildren Callie, and James; brother Lawrence (Stella) Fyffe of Newark. She is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving friends at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Tuesday, October 26, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be held on Wednesday October 27, 2010 at the Funeral Home at 1:00pm, officiated by family member Ronnie Hodge. Interment will follow at the Sunset Cemetery.
