Lynn Beverly Whitmer

Lynn Beverly Daniels Whitmer, age 69, of Columbus, Ohio was called Home on Sunday March 14, 2021 surrounded by her family, friends and family support dog Ollie. Born on November 30, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Irene Daniels; brother Raymond Lee Daniels, nephew Matt Daniels; and niece Kristen Hanson. Survived by sister Sally (Larry) Binegar; loving Daughters, Wendi (John) Somerlot, Keri Whitmer, and Jami (Randy) League; Grandchildren Luke, Brittany, Emily and Hayden Somerlot, Ian Binns, Violet League; and Great Grandchildren Riley and Jace who all lovingly referred to her as "Mama Shark". Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Lynn was a 1970 graduate of West High School and a 1971 graduate of Nationwide Beauty Academy. She put her career on hold to help raise her three daughters and returned to work in her later years as a dietary aide at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor retiring in 2018. Lynn enjoyed spending time with her family. One of her fondest memories from her childhood was spending time at Put In Bay - a love passed on to her daughters and grandchildren. Lynn was a devoted Mother, Girl Scout Leader, Sister and friend and will be greatly missed. "To live in the hearts of others is not to die".
