Lynne Jacoby Durant

Lynne Jacoby Durant, age 74, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. Lynne was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Dr. Ben and Roberta (Shai) Jacoby. Lynne was a 1961 graduate of Upper Arlington High School. After high school she attended Stephens College in Columbia Missouri and The Ohio State University, majoring in fashion design. Her love of fashion and sewing prompted her to start her own business, Lynne Michele Shop in German Village. Lynne loved knitting and was a master knitter. In 1974 she received a National Award for hand and machine knitting. Lynne was an active member of the Mid-Ohio Knitters Guild, Dayton Knitters Guild and Sock Club. Lynne was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Above all else, Lynne was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by her loving son, Frederick (Amy) Durant; sisters, Barbara Kreiser and Liz (Jim) Winfree; grandchildren, Parker and Adelyn Durant; Frederick's father, Fred Durant; and many nieces and nephews. Lynne will be remembered for her love of laughter, mischievous grin, and her never-ending childlike sense of wonder. Family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10am, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1581 Cambridge Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43212. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, 4439 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio.
