

Magdalena "Maggie" Schremser, 86, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on April 2, 2021. She was born March 26, 1935 in Bratislava, Hungary/Slovakia to the late Josef and Maria Fastner. Maggie moved from Hungary to Tirschenreuth Bavaria, Germany where she gave birth to her son Joseph. She was a prestigious seamstress to a German tailor. While in Germany she met her husband, Charles "Ron" Schremser, a proud U.S. Army Veteran, who eagerly went back to America to prepare a home for Maggie and Joe. Maggie came over on the U.S.S. Nieuw Amsterdam, beginning her new adventure through Ellis Island. The Schremser's celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2020. She loved to entertain, enjoyed crafts and appreciated a good sip of whiskey. Maggie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Tammie Schremser of Gahanna; grandchildren Kelly and Ryan Schremser, great-grandchildren TJ Baldwin, Aryanna Shaw and Brooklynn Stanford; step-grandchildren Adam (Heather) Evans and Andy (Brooke) Evans, brother-in-law Richard Schremser of California. Family will receive friends from 9am - 11am on April 10, 2021 at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna with interment to follow at Mifflin Cemetery.
