

Margie Robinson Powell, age 79, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015, at McNaughten Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation facility in Columbus, Ohio due to complications with Alzheimer’s disease. Margie was born on December 5, 1935, in Panama City, Florida to the late Boyd and Viola Robinson. Margie was preceded in death by her husband JC Powell; brother Robert Neal; and sister Irene Fuller.
She is survived by her sister Myrtle Harris of Panama City; five children Patricia Powell, Tyrone Powell, Jesse Powell, Jacquelynn Powell and Marcus Powell, all of Columbus; grandchildren Justin Powell and wife Jennifer of Columbus, Jonathan Powell and wife Krista of Dayton, Ohio, Marquis Powell of Columbus, and Chanoah Powell of Columbus; great grandchild Jackson Powell of Dayton, Ohio, and by her many other relatives and friends.
Margie attended Rosenwald High School. After High School, she spent 20 years in the Hospitality industry. Margie’s activities included reading her Bible, listening to gospel music, following the Ohio State Buckeyes and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her witty jokes, huge smile, infectious laugh, and most of all her devotion to her children and grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM on Friday, November 20, 2015, with the funeral service to follow immediately after at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43232. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
