Marie Helen Horn

Marie H. Horn, age 87, of Irish Hills, passed away March 19, 2015 at Brown Memorial Home in Circleville. She was born May 12, 1927 in Columbus to the late Philip and Florence McDonough; also preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Horn; brothers, Paul and Philip McDonough and sister, Ann O'Farrell. Marie enjoyed golfing, ceramics, woodworking and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren! She worked for Ohio Bell and then devoted many years to babysitting in her home. She was passionate about helping people and served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, the Tri-County Fire Department and the Franklin County Sheriff's office. She is survived by her daughters, Christine (David) Vicars, Karen (Tom) Hawker, and Myra (Patrick) Nelson; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3pm Friday, March 27, 2015 at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 where family will welcome friends from 2-3pm.
