

Marilyn Lee Denman, age 79 of Columbus, passed away February 15, 2012. Marilyn was born in Amanda, Ohio, eldest child of the late Anne and Marvin Canada, former Columbus Deputy Chief of Police. Marilyn enjoyed working with numbers and retired from the City of Columbus as an accountant with the Recreation and Parks Dept. Music and singing were a large part of Marilyn’s life. She and her entire family enjoyed playing music and singing together. Throughout the years, Marilyn has sung in many different choirs, singing groups, and assisted numerous local churches. She always remained a very reserved and impressive woman who had the voice of an angel. She will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Andrew Nelson Denman; children, Linda (Bonnie) Bishop, David (Jan) Anthony, Sandra (Paul) Baldridge, Nancy (Brent) Johnston, and Amy (Darrell McGrath) Denman; grandchildren, Eric (Elizabeth) Baldridge, Christopher Harlor, Joy (John) Gregory, Philip Baldridge, and Andrew Johnston; great grandsons, Cameron Buzzard and Cooper Gregory; sisters, Nancy Morehart and Jean (Joseph) Snider; brother, Daniel (Rosemary) Canada; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. Monday February 20, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., where a memorial service will begin at 1 P.M. Monday.
