Marjorie B. Erb

Marjorie B. Erb, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2019. She was born February 23, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Clarence Zeigler and Helen (Antoszewski) Barker. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Eugene Barker; and adoring husband of 60 years, Harry Edward Erb.

She is survived by her children, Theresa (Fred) Boyle, Ron (Cindi) Erb, Renee (Brian) McClain; grandchildren, Andrew Boyle, Caitlin (Tom) Moriarty, Cori (Matthew) MacFarland, Colin McClain, Eric (Ashley) Erb, Connor (Julie) Boyle, Mark (Sarah) McClain, and Rachel Erb; and great-grandchildren, Riley Ann Boyle, Cashel and Seamus Moriarty, and Everett Ruppert Boyle.

Marjorie was a 1949 graduate of St. Mary of the Springs Academy, worked at Ohio Bell Telephone Company and, after raising her children, returned to work in retail at various boutiques. She was a long-time member of St. Agatha Church and active in Women’s Club, many St. Agatha and Watterson organizations, and Brace IV. Marjorie was an avid gardener, loved to read, play bridge, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

The family will receive friends at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, December 29. A Mass of Christian burial will take place 10 a.m. Monday, December 30, at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1860 Northam Rd. with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory may be sent either to St. Agatha St. Vincent DePaul Society, 1480 Northam Rd., Columbus, OH 43221 or to Dominican Sisters, St. Mary of the Springs, 2320 Airport Dr., Columbus, OH 43210.
