

Marlene graduated from Wheelwright High School in 1959. In 1963, she married her husband, Henry. Marlene was a homemaker and a loving mother. She enjoyed traveling, seeing the ocean, dancing, shopping, wearing jewelry, and eating chocolate and sweets. She also enjoyed watching old movies, especially westerns, and home shopping channels. She was the life of every party and never knew a stranger. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Marlene will be greatly missed by her children Henry (Tammy) Sexton, Andrea (Jeff) Butcher, and Sherry (Shahriar) Khabiri; grandchildren Lisa (Dylan) Matlow, Jeanette Butcher, Hallie (Chris) Mathews, Theodore and Owen Khabiri, and Andrew Sexton; great-grandchildren Aurelia and Julian Matlow, and Avery Mathews; her sister Sherry Atwood; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her brother Henry Marvin Best, sisters Jerry Lucas, Jeanette Cates, Patsy Scarberry, and Joyce Osborne.
A memorial will be held from 1-3 PM on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
