Martha R. Davidson

Martha R. Davidson, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on May 28, 1940 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Frank and Louise (Koon) Neville. Martha was a 1958 graduate of Sidney High. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Bowling Green University and a Master's Degree from The Ohio State University. For over 30 years, Martha was a teacher for Columbus Public Schools. When she was younger Martha loved horseback riding. In her later years, she enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was a former member of Mountview Baptist Church. Martha was also a member of the teacher's sorority Alpha Delta Kappa. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Stephanie (Kenneth) Shaffer and Jennifer (Yoichi Takanashi) Davidson; grandchildren, Erin Shaffer and Maximillion, Ashley, Duke and Richard Takanashi; sister-in-law Barbara Neville. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Davidson; and siblings Frank Neville Jr. and Vivian (Tom) Houlette. Family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 PM on Monday, January 30, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 4322. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Kingwood Memorial Park Chapel, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035.
