

Mary Ann (Cusick) Corwin, age 88, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Kobacker House, surrounded by her devoted family, after a short battle with blood cancer (MDS). She was born in Marion, Ohio, July 16, 1929 to the late Bernard and Mary (Druzbacky) Cusick. Mary Ann met her husband at a dance and were high school sweethearts until they married on August 26, 1950. They moved to Columbus, Ohio where they lived in the same home for 62 years, and where they raised their four children. Mary Ann always wanted to be a secretary. She had a strong work ethic that she passed on to her children. She was a 42 year member of the Columbus Association for Legal Secretaries, where she was still active and attended meetings this year. Mary Ann was a lifelong member of St. James the Less Catholic Church where she was active in Parish Council, Bingo and many other activities. She had many talents that included crocheting and sewing. Many family members and friends own items that Mary Ann handmade. She was a shopping enthusiast who took pride in being fashionable and stylish all her life. The most important part of her life was being a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and now great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, also from Marion, Ohio, Noel Corwin who died on January 16, 2014 and by her eldest son, Noel Gregory, in July 2, 1982. Surviving are her younger brothers, Paul and Bob Cusick; loving children, Susan (Chuck) Moore, Sandra Corwin, and Noel Bradley (Beth Litman) Corwin. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Charley and Lance Corwin, and Ryan Moore; twin great grandsons, Hunter and Blake. She is also survived by her extended family and step-grandchildren, Renee Yost, Jimmy Moore, and Ashley Wagner and their families. The Corwin and Moore families want to thank all their friends and co-workers for their love and support. Thanks to the caregivers at OhioHealth Hospice for their comfort and support. A special thanks to neighbors, Jerry and Nancy Gerber for their care and friendship. A service to honor Mary Ann will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00AM at the Mausoleum Chapel at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio.
