Mary Lou Doyle

Mary Louise (Reeves) Doyle, age 85, long time resident of Gahanna, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born in Xenia, Ohio on July 12, 1926. She is preceded in death by her father, Edgar Howard Reeves and mother Emma Anna (Steinbrenner) Reeves; her only brother and sister in law, Henry Allan (Libby) Reeves; and her long time canine companion, Cocoa. Mary Lou was a graduate of West High School. She retired from TWA after 39 years of dedicated service, which afforded her the love of world travel. Mary Lou was a long time usher at St. Matthew’s church and she enjoyed numerous years at the Gahanna Sr. Center; line dancing, playing bingo, and racing on the Roaring Lions Malibu Race Team as “Shooting Star”. Mary Lou was an avid OSU Buckeye fan and also a member of the infamous Red Hat Society. She is survived by her only beloved son, Sean (Sheila) Doyle; and her grandchildren; Brittney Doyle and Jacob Kring. A very special heart felt thank you to Mary Lou’s caregiver and friend during the last months of her life, Jean Doyle. And to the staff of Tridia Hospice. Mass will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 10:00AM at St. Matthew Apostle Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna, OH. Fr. Ryan Schmit, celebrant. Interment will follow at Mifflin Cemetery, Gahanna, OH.
