Mary Frances Garner

Mary F. Garner, formerly of Columbus passed away at The Ohio Masonic Home in Springfield, Ohio on Friday, May 2, 2014. Mary was born in Beckley, WV to the late John and Lula Mackey. She graduated from Oak Hill High School in WV and moved to Ohio in 1951. Mary worked for AEP from 1980-1995 as a Senior Operator Comptometer. She loved to shop for clothing at Lazarus and Union Clothing Store. Mary will also be remembered for her ability to keep a tidy house. Preceded in death by her sister, June Allison and brother, James Mackey. Survived by her husband of 49 years, James Garner; sister, Laura Nixon; brother, John Mackey; sister-in-law, Kathy Mackey; brother-in-law, William Garner; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday 5-8 pm and Wednesday 12:30 - 1:30 pm at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad Street, where funeral service will be Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 1:30 pm. Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
