

Mary Jane Pohlman Hammond, Born April 12, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio. Died on June 23, 2014 at OSU Medical Center Hospice. Adopted daughter of Walter Pohlman and Nina Brumbaugh. Graduate of Bexley High School, Ohio University as a National Honor Society Member and later the Capital University Paralegal Program. Jane is survived by sons, David and wife Carol, Greg and his wife Julie, their son Tyler and dog Laser, daughter Ann and her daughters, Carrie and Tara. Jane was a wonderful mother and a diligent homemaker. She worked in sales, was a receptionist for several law firms, retired as a paralegal from Morrison, Bodycombe, Yearling and Fais, and was president of her beloved French Quarter Homeowners Association. She was very passionate about reading, cooking, eating and shopping, was a very accomplished craftswoman, seamstress and calligrapher, and above all loved to travel. Jane was a happy gentle soul, a loving mother and a truly caring person. We are blessed to have basked in the warmth and comfort of her love. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
