Mary June Saunders

Mary was born on June 3, 1927 in McArthur, OH to the late Roy and Nellie (Witherspoon) Saunders. She graduated from Mifflin High School class of ’46. After graduation she went to work for COPCO and was with them for over 6 years before she became employed with A&P as a telephone operator. Mary was with A&P until her retirement in 1982. Mary was a devoted Christian and was faithful her church, Maple Grove United Methodist Church, where she had attended since 1982. She was adored by all 22 nieces and nephews, in fact, she was the center of attention at Christmas and at Birthdays. She was a very giving person, and was always making sure that her family was taken care of. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents Mary is preceded in death by her brothers Roy Jr. and Paul Saunders;

Survivors include her sisters; Alta Mae Hartsook, Dorothy Goodrich, Rose Serio, Ivy Hanna, Ilah Clark, Carol Bales; sister in law Joyce Saunders; 3 brother in laws; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.

Family will be rece3iving friends at the Schoedinger Funeral Home North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd. on Sunday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Services will be held at the Funeral home on Monday November 29, 2010 at 10:00am with Pastor Dave Trout officiating. Burial will follow at the Mifflin Cemetery.
