Mary Louise Wallace

Preceded in death by mother Charlie Mae Gray, brother Charles Irons, aunt Amanda Gray, and granddaughter Angela M. McClendon-Hill.

Mary was a licensed cosmetologist and managed Brooks Beauty Concepts for many years. In a switch of professions, she became a Transit Driver for the Central Ohio Transit Authority (C.O.T.A.) from which she retired after twenty-one years of dedicated service.

Mary enjoyed playing cards, especially bid whist, and preparing delicious meals for family and friends. She loved entertaining and being the hostess of gatherings. She also loved shopping and getting dressed to the nines.

Left to cherish her memories, sister Bertha McBeth, daughters Linda Wright (Richard), Cheryl McClendon, Diana Dulaney, and son Vincent McClendon. Grandchildren; Sonya Wright, Vonetta Anthony, Mark Anthony, II, Saundra Wright, Sabrina Wright, DaTeshia McClendon, Sequoia Wright, Vicki Araujo (Jose), and Vincent McClendon, Jr. Twenty-six great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Nephews Benjamin Vassar and Frederick Moore, and stepdaughter Regina Patterson (David).

Family will welcome friends from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Advantage Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus. Funeral Services will follow at 12:30pm to honor Mary's life and accomplishments.

Mary will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
