Mary "Ann" Wolf

Mary “Ann” Wolf, age 85, of Circleville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011. She was born April 15, 1926 in Circleville to the late Edward C. and Helen M. (Groce) Wolf; also preceded in death by her brother, Edward Wolf, II. Ann graduated from Circleville High School in 1944 and was a1948 alumni of Capital University, where she earned a degree in education. Ann taught school for 34 years, with the majority of that time in the Whitehall schools. She enjoyed playing the piano and the violin and her love of reading fostered her desire for endless learning. She was a life member of the Ohio Retired Teacher’s Assoc., Pickaway Co. Retired Teachers and the Order of the Eastern Stars. She was a cradle member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on the church council, and a member of the Pickaway County Sr. Center. Ann is survived by her loving sister, Elizabeth Wolf; nephew, Edward Wolf, III; great-niece, Elizabeth Wolf; great-nephew, Adam Wolf; cousins, Beverly (Jim) Davis, Robert Wolf and Thomas (Frances) Wolf and sister-in-law, Marjorie Wolf. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Friday, July 15, 2011 at the DEFENBAUGH-WISE-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME 151 E. Main St. Circleville where friends may call from 11am to 1pm; Pastor Paul Young, officiating; Interment at Forest Cemetery.
